Thanks for stopping in on my blog! After being in the classroom for ten years and teaching 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and RTI, I've made the move to become the behavior teacher at our school! I'm planning for this blog to be a place where I post curriculum ideas along with management and organizational tips too. Behavior management is a HUGE passion of mine, and I'm excited for the opportunity this year to focus in on it!
I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated at the University of Arizona in Tucson. I then moved to San Diego, CA and LOVED it there. I lived a block from the beach for a few years. I was then given an opportunity to teach 3rd grade in Austin, TX and have since then been living here! I've been at my current school the entire time and have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade there. A few years ago I graduated with my masters in education and received my principal certification.
I'm a homeowner who lives with the two best dogs in the world! They are German Shephard mixes and keep life interesting. I love spending my time reading, doing puzzles, and relaxing at home. I also enjoy the outdoors and love hiking around Austin or kayaking down the lake. Wineries have also become my JAM and I'm already a member of two. I definitely spend A LOT of time enjoying wine. And coffee. I LOVE coffee. So much so that it becomes hard to figure out what I love more, wine or coffee. Travelling is something else I enjoy. I've been to France, Italy, Germany, Austria, England, Hawaii, Amsterdam, Peru, Mexico, and around the US. There are many more places still on my list, and I'm hoping to check more off one summer at a time!
